SVX(EG35) on the circuit (siowulf, Japan)

ボアアップによる3.5L仕様で、カムを高回転型に変えてあります。新型車解説書に載っているEG33のエンジン性能曲線とダイナパックで計測したデータを目視で重ねてみました。ダイナパックは係数1.2をかけています。約280PSで、図らずも当時の自主規制値になって、懐かしく感じます。目視で重ねたので正確ではないですが、大体の傾向はつかめるでしょう。完全に高回転型になっています。特に3000回転以下にトルクの谷があります。可変機構がないエンジンですからしかたがないですね。趣味の車としては、むしろ「味」があって良いとも言えます。

 

 

With 3.5L specifications by bore up, the cam has been changed to a high rotation type. I visually superimposed the engine performance curve of EG33 in the new car manual and the data measured by Dynapac. Dynapac applied a coefficient of 1.2. It is about 280PS, which is the self-imposed regulation value at that time, and I feel nostalgic about it. It's not accurate because I piled it up visually, but you can get the general trend. The engine is completely high RPM type. There is a trough of torque especially below 3000 rpm. The engine does not have a variable mechanism, so that is to be expected. As a hobby car, it has a good "very SVX-like" to it.
